Siemens leverages Mendix low code to build personalized data solutions

Siemens Digital Industries Software has reportedly leveraged the Mendix low-code application development platform for helping clients to develop personalized and contextual solutions that would facilitate data-driven processes of decision making.

According to Derek Roos, the CEO of Mendix, the company envisions to furnish customers a technology that would allow them to develop applications in a faster and efficient manner. He has further stated that Mendix has also helped extend Siemens’ Xcelerator portfolio that would help realize unprecedented flexibility and scalability for customers. In addition, the company is proceeding to expand the Mendix platform to ensure value to its industrial clientele by allowing them to gain value from their data across systems of record, in a field service context, or on a factory floor, added Roos.

As per sources, the general availability of the new Mendix for Industrial Edge and Mendix Data Hub services has enabled Siemens to ensure that its clients achieve an end-to-end view of their factories, plants, and systems. This has also allowed the company to furnish domain experts with actionable insights via solutions built using the right data from across the organization.

Further, the Mendix platform also extends the Xcelerator portfolio by adding the capability to share data on any device, on any platform or cloud, and develop multi experience apps from any location to more rapidly realize the benefits of digital transformation. The Mendix Data Hub will initially link with the most common industrial data sources, comprising SAP and Teamcenter software. The future releases of the service will extend support for other industry-specific applications, common databases, and data services, cite sources.

As reported, the Mendix Data Hub can be further extended as part of a newly expanded collaboration between eQ Technologic and Siemens. The partnership effectively deploys eQ’s eQube Data-as-a-Service, that comes with a rich set of more than 60 smart connectors, delivering essential support for industrial data and system integrations.
