NBCUniversal partners with RTL AdConnect to open new ad opportunities

Media and entertainment conglomerate NBCUniversal Media LLC has reportedly partnered with RTL AdConnect, RTL Group’s international advertising sales house. This move will result in both brands giving each other access to their digital inventory and premium TV assets thereby unleashing an unprecedented opportunity for marketers across the globe.

This international collaboration will open new advertising opportunities for marketers across Europe, Asia, and the United States. RTL AdConnect will be able to offer its partner agencies and European clients access to all the brand-safe, premium TV, and digital inventory operated and owned by NBCUniversal.

Under the new collaboration, NBCUniversal will also constitute the premium Total Video European suite of RTL AdConnect, offering powerful advertising solutions and strong reach to its U.S. and China-based clients. This will include the leading digital premium platforms and TV channels from the media partners of RTL AdConnect in Europe.

The move further improves the One Platform offering of NBCUniversal which provides marketers the ability to reach audiences across the full ecosystem of NBCUniversal as well as increase the footprint of the brand across important markets outside the United States.

Both companies have cited that the move indicates that the marketplace will grow significantly over the years to come. KC Sullivan, the President of Global Advertising and Partnerships, NBCUniversal posited that the company should become the number one choice for marketers across the world. Sullivan added that RTL reinforces the advertising offering of NBCUniversal in Continental Europe as the company works to increase its presence through the region.

Stéphane Coruble, the Chief Executive Officer of RTL AdConnect believes that the new partnership broadens its global footprint with leading U.S. broadcasting groups and enables them to offer marketers more global advertising solutions.

For RTL AdConnect, the collaboration enables the company to extend its inventory solutions outside European borders, strengthen its one-stop-shop offering in Europe as well as establish more direct and strong connections with brands based in China and the United States.
