Tianneng selects Siemens Xcelerator for complete manufacturing oversight

Siemens Digital Industries Software has reportedly unveiled that it has been chosen by Tianneng Battery Group Co. to leverage the comprehensive Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of industry-specific software solutions. This strategic decision reflects Tianneng Battery Group's commitment to fostering innovation and facilitating the implementation of digital manufacturing methodologies within its upcoming battery production processes.

Tianneng, established in 1986, is a prominent frontrunner in China's native battery sector, specializing in power and energy storage batteries primarily designed for electric light vehicles. Leveraging Siemens Xcelerator software, Tianneng will attain a transparent closed-loop oversight throughout its complete manufacturing journey. This encompasses the meticulous management of processes, plant operations, logistics within the supply chain, design, and R&D verticals.

The assortment encompasses Opcenter software for Manufacturing Operations Management, Teamcenter software for Product Lifecycle Management, and Simcenter software for virtual simulation and testing.

Leo Liang, Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Greater China at Siemens Digital Industries Software, was reportedly quoted saying that Siemens stands ready to support Tianneng as it establishes a pioneering benchmark facility for lithium batteries, guiding the company in its pursuit of top-tier growth. He further added that the company is set to assume a pivotal role in nurturing workforce development within the digital realm, thereby establishing a strong groundwork for the realization of Tianneng Battery's smart manufacturing strategy.
